The award-winning designer who is known for her clutch collections such as the Ankara, Royal, metallic and the semi-precious stone collections is preparing something exceptional, according to a grapevine from her camp.

Her collections usually come in different unique shapes; box, oval or envelope, and she is expected to wow clutch enthusiasts and lovers during Saturday’s annual fashion and music extravaganza.

She was last week announced among top fashion designers who will be displaying their works on the runway.

The rest include Ophelia Crossland, Abrantie The Gentleman, Bon Collections, Nineteen57 By KOD, South Africa’s Palse and New York-based Kenyan designer, Narok.

Velma recently caught public attention for designing a clutch used by the Second Lady Samira Bawumia during the ‘Ghana 60 years On’ parade on March 6. The UK-trained designer will also display her millinery at the runway event.

This year’s ‘Rhythms On The Runway’ will come off on Saturday, April 1 at the Banquet Hall, State House, in Accra amidst a lot of excitement.

The event will showcase different collections, fashion lines and a lot of side attractions, including music performances from some of the country’s big name artistes.
