FOLLOWING HIS climb to number one in the iTunes hip-hop charts a few weeks ago, versatile young rap sensation J Hus is connecting with his growing army of fans this month during a UK-wide tour that started in Newcastle on 1 May.
The dates will see 20-year-old Momodou ‘J Hus’ Jallow visit Manchester, Nottingham, Hatfield, Birmingham, Bristol, Norwich, Glasgow and Belfast on the last leg of the tour. The final show takes place at Belfast’s Limelight 2 on 18 May.
Unfortunately, for fans in the capital, Londoners won’t get a look-in for this tour. The rapper took to Twitter and said: ‘No London LOL’, to the disappointment of many.
Currently celebrating the release of his latest single, the east London artist has racked up in excess of 10 million views on his Vevo channel for the video to Did You See.
Both his 2015 breakthrough track Dem Boy Paigon and the more commercial single Lean & Bop have amassed millions of views themselves, as well as heavy rotation on commercial radio and music video stations.
In addition to cult rap mixtape releases with infusions of afrobeat, R&B and reggae, J Hus will be releasing his first studio album, Common Sense, on 12 May.
Support acts for the tour include Stormzy’s cousin, Grime princess Nadia Rose, the Lotto Boyzz, Young T and Bugsey and DJ YBE.
Tickets are available from several online outlets, including www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
